Marine Engineering and Projects

The Marine side of Mitcor’s business is extremely diverse and includes vessel construction for transportation and energy work stations. Our strategic partners are world class shpbuilders with specialized skills to meet the rigid demands of modern vessel construction.

Marine vessels fall into several categories:

LNG Carriers

Bulkers

Containerships

Floating Liquefaction (FLNG)

Floating Regasification (FRLNG)

Cattle and Sheep Livestock Carrier

Shuttle Tankers

Floating Processing and Storage Facilities

Other Specialized Vessels

Transaction Parameters

  • Transaction size between $30mm and $350mm

The current trend in LNG energy growth has prompted intensive commercial interest in the development of FLNG and FRLNG vessels.

This is due to the following advantages:

Value Driven

  • Lower capital cost and shorter time to market than comparable land-based alternatives
  • Early gas and/or LNG monetization
  • Greater cost control with construction in a controlled shipyard environment
  • Minimal Footprint

Design flexibility provides an opportunity for the minimization of fixed infrastructure and an overall reduction in environmental impact. This design approach is beneficial for both conventional and stranded reserves. This mobile design allows for movement between multiple reserves over a project’s life and maximizes investors return on investment.
